Default Highway Peg Mount fitment question

I am going to purchase some highway peg mounts to mount on the crash bar of my 11 RK FLHR. I am seeing everything from mounts that put the peg right next to the bar, to short angled, to long angled, etc. I am 5'10 with a 30" inseam. As I will be purchasing these on line (cheaper) I am concerned that I will get some that are not comfortable.
Any suggestions from folks that have similar measurements with what they are running would be appreciated.

Well, the mounting hardware is pretty simple; ether fixed, limited adjustment (up & down), or fully adjustable.
The footpegs are as varied as there are manufacturers.
Personally, I prefer for the footboards, highway pegs, passenger pegs, brake & shifter pads to match. But that is just me.
I went with the HD "Streamliner" design because the footboard & passenger pegs were that design already.

I'm 5'-9" with a 30" inseam. I bought the Adjustable Highway Peg Mounting Kit - Short Angled (50830-07A). I tried both the short and long at my local shop for size. For where I wanted to mount them, which is low enough to allow multiple feet positions, the short worked best. Hope that helps.

When trying them on for size, I noticed that the long angled mounts would work best if you had either short legs or really long longs.

my inseam is slightly shorter than yours, i use the long angled. allows me to keep my heels on the floorboards, and put my toes on the highway pegs. about the same posture as if you had forward controls.

My set up is similar to Skratch's. Using 360 mounts I have the pegs set so that I can ride with feet on the floorboards, heels on the boards and toes on the pegs or heels on the pegs. Makes those longer trips much more comfortable.

Same as scratch, and I have your exact measurements, 5-10 and 30 inch inseam, and these things are perfect.

Although i don't have the same mounts as you, i angle them back so i can keep my heel on the board. Much better riding position for me rather than having your foot all the way on the pegs. BTW, what AC cover are you running there?

It's such a subjective thing...like seats, bars, grips. Fully agree with the above posters that more adjustability is more than likely going to result in the perfect fit. IMO if you treat it like a small investment, you wont regret it.

HD 360 degree mounts work well for me. I'm 6'3'' with 34'' inseam, but these are adjustable to the max.
