Info to the group I called to order the new 70 x 2 amp. They asked me if I had the the most current version of there two channel amp. I said yes I will be doing a swap. The are going to buy it back / give me credit towards the purchase of the new amp. Not only that but they only charged me the diff and all I have to do is send them my amp and the deal is done. Now that is one heck of a company.
some pics from the update. the focal speaker set up worked great. The tweeters swap was a snap. remove the hogtunes stuff and place the new tweeters replace the grills. there is a crossover network the should be removed that is inside the tweeter bar. more info to follow
Appears you are where I'm heading. I've the new HT 70.2 amp (uninstalled), HT tweeter pod (uninstalled), and Kicker 5.25s that I installed last summer. Bike's apart b/c I'm painting the inner fairing.
I've decided to switch to 6.5/6.75 speakers and probably will go w/ Polk MM651 or Focal. I've been thinking I would go with coaxials and not use the HT pod. .. Why have two sets of possibly mismatched tweeters? However, I've also considered using component speakers from Polk or Focal and installing the tweeters in the HT pod housing. Is that what you did? Which Focal do you have? How's it sound? Thanks
