What goes there?
I pulled the left side over off,my 2012 Street Glide to take over to my painter so he could see the paint for my inner fairing paint job, anyway while off I see a large square box on the left side under that cover, looks like it would hold a small dirtbike battery...what's that box for? Maybe for another model?
Looks like a good place for a power fused box for running heated gear or LED lights etc....just wondering.....never noticed this on other models....

Got a picture? From your description it could be the fuse block or it could be the siren module for the security system if it is installed. The siren module is about 2 1/2 x 3 1/2", the fuse block is about 5 x 7.

I have the same "box" on my '12 street glide and have security and cruise.dealer told me that was where the ABS module goes.I have my garage door closer module and my tool kit stashed there,out of the way and if I ever need it,easy to get to.
