Ignition switch AGAIN 2011 SG
Ok i have watched the video and read other post. I installed the front running lights on my 2011 Sg. My brother helped me out, he removed the switch and put it back on because he just did his 2009 SG. My problem is when the ignition switch is locked I can still turn it. I can push the switch all the way down and it wont lock into postion and stay down. It seems to be the tang on the switch isnt catching I guess. Im lost any help please

did you make "the tool" from a piece of squashed pipe- 1/4" copper tubing?
using a screwdriver will hit some "tangs" or plates and miss others

Get a 8" piece of 1/4" copper tubing - flatten one end & bend the other (handle). Use a flashlight to see in the ignition socket & align all the "tangs" and you'll be good to go. You can check alignment w/tool in as ignition - everything should work just like it would w/actual ignition assy...

The switch housing sits all the way down maybe a 1/16" clearence if not a little less gap. Is it supposed to sit all the way down on top of the cover. I will make the tool tomorow.
