Waaa Waaa waaa.........Tired of hearing 07 sucks threads.....Sell it, get over it, or forget it, whatever, quit posting this garbage. I love my 07, it has no problems with 2,200 miles on it. The whine is the stronger, straight cut 5th gear. If you don't like it, go get the aftermarket helical geared fix, so that we can hear you complain about how your trans is broken in a year or so. The torque smoothing upgrade, has nothing to do with the lean mixure, that is the EPA's doing. Harley I'm sure, would love to have the correct mixure right from the factory.....but they can't, get over it. Why did you buy a Harley anyway, you obviuosly don't know too much about them.[sm=wtf.gif]

'07 Ultra Classic bone stock here. I have thoroughly enjoyed my 96ci "stroker".[sm=gears.gif]

2 problems I personally have encountered:

1. I can't stay off of it and my family is about to disown me for being away so much.[sm=boohoo.gif]

2. The cash flow for accessories has killed my life savings!!!!

Any suggestions?[sm=icon_rofl.gif]

04, I agree, Everyone says they are way too lean and IHAD to put a PC USB on it to make it right andthe Trans is going out because it makes noise, and I have 1350 miels on it. Ride it. It has a warranty. There are plenty of people with a few thousand miles on them and are riding and loving them with no failure.1350miles isn't even broke in yet. Ride! Ask Santa for a Pantera CD for Christmas. You won't hear that Tranny anymore.Merry Christmas everyone.

Pittguy, I agree with you about chuck and all the other ignorant idiots out there who think that a noise like we have is normal. I could live with a gear whine, but when it sounds like a broke snow chain beating the inside of a wheel well and they say thats normal....give me a break. I guess if I had been smart and have known how harley treated repeat customers nowdays, I should have bought a Goldwing or a BMW. And for those saying sell it...its for sale...show me your money if you want a thrashing machine so bad. Thats what I thought...all mouth. How are you gonna sell something that sounds like that.

I had worked at a dealership for years and can tell you if you're bike is making that much noise and the MOCO won't do anything, you need to visit a new dealer. If it is a whine it is probably normal. If it sounds like abroken snow chain and your dealer won't do anything, find a new one. Either that or it isn't that bad.

I remembertheGold Wingrecall's for the ECM that wouldcatchon fire and the frame break issues that they had your local dealer weld for you. That sounds better. At least you can't hear it, running or not.

ORIGINAL: Snake1

For those who have had different threads on '07 ping, tranny noise, excessive heat, lean condition the answer to what is MOCO going to do for those of us who did SERT to fix lean condition, at the advice of the Dealer, read on. I wrote my letters to CEO and Board of Directors Stating my case that at the advice of my dealer, with 175 miles on 07 ULTRA, to install SERT to cure lean state. And I requested refund. Answer took 2 months. Flat out NO ! With many others turning this over to their respective Attorneys General, down the road I expect Harley will be forced into compensating those who had to spend their own money to fix before the " Torque Smoothing" flash that now won't do us any good. As far as the 5th gear whine it's funny that Baker has come out with a kit to fix a problem that Harley says doesn't exist. Ya, 5th is straight cut--Bakers is helical. Why did Harley ever do this ? Did it not show up in R&D ? Now that a big percentage of the '07's have noise-Harley says it's normal. It's normal for the 5.88 rear in my drag car to whine--not my Cadilac.
Hey Snake1,where did you go? Do I smell a mole?
