I've still got mine sitting in the garage along with a Magnum +4 clutch cable. Haven't had the time to do the install. I'm itching to do it now so it won't be long. I'll update when I do.
Installed the 2+2's. No pictures yet. Drew a picture of wires with connectors and detached, increased the bar hole opening near grip, sprayed wires and inside bar with W-D 40, worked better than baby powder for me. Used a fishing sinker and line to allow the weight to go to the hole in center and pull thru. Then, ran the wires thru the bars without the black wire covers, but be very careful not to slice wires, pull thru very slowly checking everything out as you go. Cut, removed green plug and sodered the TBW wire, added additional wire length, it made it alot easier, or you could spend the money on a new one. Did tape the TBW about 1" back from right handlebar wiring which made it less thick to run thru easier. Running the wires thru the bars take alot of work and patients, but look great. Bought the Avon Grips while at it. Also, Painted the Inner Fairing Copper Pearl to match rest of my 08 Ultra.
Not to sure yet on the Bars, have only rode a few miles, but have adjusted all the way forward within an 1/8" of Fairing, and still seem like they sit to low, maybe just me. Diffently feel they are wider, take a little bit to get use to them. But everything takes time and the whole bike looks great, and so looking forward to the riding season. Thanks all for your input on how to, have fun, Later-

Are Sweeper 2+2 better than WO575 for short riders

My only dislike is that although they have 2" more pullback they also move your hands out 2-4" wider. If your arms are short you may have issues when slow speed maneuvering at full lock to lock!
I know this is an old thread but I'm thinking about changing bars again. I have been using Wild One 575's for the last three years but am constantly battling a sore/tired upper middle back. I am 5'4"+ and have the 575's pulled back so that they clear the tank by about 1/4" at full lock. Still think I'm reaching too much. I use the 575 with a C&C short solo so I'm already pushed closer to the tank.
Would the Sweeper 2+2 allow me to get a better reach by pulling them down a little more?
I installed a +2" longer clutch cable with the 575's. Would that cable work with the Sweeper 2+2?

My wife is 5'5" and rides an Ultra Classic. We lowered the bike 1" and had the seat reworked by Mean City Cycles so she sits lower and closer to the tank. This spring I installed Khrome Werks 2+2 wide sweepers on her bike. The new cable kit I bought for it was 4" longer for brake lines, clutch, idle and throttle cables. The lengths where perfect except the clutch cable seemed a little tight. I screwed up and broke the end off by over tightening it into the transmission side cover. So I ordered a cable that was 6" longer than stock and it worked great.
When I first installed them they were pulled back a little bit but after riding it a couple times she thought the grips felt a little low and the grips felt pulled down. I opened the fairing back up and adjusted them all the way forward as far as they would go. She found this to be much more of a comfortable position. She likes the more ergonomic wrist position and the wider grip stance. She no longer has any back pain on longer rides and she feels like she has better control while low speed maneuvering.

Skydude--Thanks for the great write up. You've answered all of my questions. I think I may adjust the WO575 up a bit to see if that relieves some back pain. As long as it doesn't worsen my reach I may not have to change bars. If a bar change is in order I'll try the 2+2 sweepers. Thanks again, Randy
Looks like khrome werks has a new set of 2+2 handlebars. They're a little narrower than the originals. These are 31.77" wide instead of 34." I just purchased them today. I can't wait to install them, but I also need to buy +4" clutch cables. Looks like the majority of people are not having any problems with the break lines for a SG '08+. I'll let you know how it goes and will post pics later.

I'm interested in what you find with these. According to the measurements, they are very much like the HD Reduced Reach bars. The grip will not be as ergo as on the wider version.

I am interested in getting a set also. I don't see where I can buy them from Khrome Werks or from Drag Specialities. I emailed Drag Specialties and the email answered my question and told me to find a local dealer to buy them from. I would rather buy them online and have them shipped.

I have installed 2 sets of the 2+2 sweepers 1 set on a 2013 RGU and 1 set on a 2014 limited and neither bike needed a cable or line changed, factory cables and lines fit just fine.
