fenderguy,
I'm thinking about putting the 2+2's on my new 09 street glide also. I had the +2's on my 08 that I just sold. I would like to here from others who have these bars and get their opinions.
sunnenman, what's your height and sleeve length? What didn't you like about the +2's on your '08 SG?
I'm 6'1" with 35" sleeves. I liked the +2's but would have preferred them a little taller and back towards me some more.
Hmmm. We're the same size.
I was thinking the +2's might work, but it sounds like the 2+2's may be the ticket!
Was the width and grip angle okay on the +2's? Judging by the diagrams on Khrome Werks web-site, it looks like the grip angle on the 2+2's is a little different than it is on the +2's.
the grip angle is great. Much better than stock bars!

Ok... got the 2+2's waiting for me to install them. I do have a service manual which I will study prior to install. But I would like to start doing it in my head. Do I need to remove the outer fairing? Inner also? If I do, what else would some of you recommend I do while in there? Amp? Speakers? How much more work is it to remove the inner fairing if not necessary for the bar install? Maybe I would have it painted. (?) I have the info on removing the ignition key set/cover. Any hints/pics/videos would be most appreciated. (I do have the LA Choppers vid. Any others?) Thanks in advance guys.
Take the outer fairing off, take the ignition fairing cap off, at this point you have two choices remove the radio or loosen the inner fairing and tilt it forward that's the way la choppers does it. If it was me I would take the inner fairing off now and get it painted it's not that hard to do and do anything else you need to do in there while you have it apart. Also take a lot of pics as you go. There is a thread on here that has a step by step tutorial on how to do it. Good luck
