I'm very pleased with my Sena SMH10. Intercom works great with passenger and I have it paired to Zumo 660 for music, navigation directions, and iPhone. Works great! Sound is clear. We have full face helmets.

I have no models to compare with, but I am very pleased with my SENA SMH-10 as well. Paired to my iPhone for iTunes, phone calls, NAV.... I have it installed in my FF Shoei RF1100

The wife and I have G4's too. Work great bike to bike, plus they have all the nifty things like bluetooth music, fm radio etc etc. They seem to last a long time on a charge too. Mics work pretty good for canceling out road noise.

I purchased the SCALA G9 system for my wife and I. It cost 500 bucks but we love them. Once we learned how to operate them, we don't like even taking short rides without them. No wind noise, no cracking and buzzing.

I don't use many of the capabilities, but we love cruising with the blue tooth communications. Now we don't have to listen to every trucker on the interstate like you do with the CB frequencies.

$500...what does it do? I have the Sena, paid about $200 less, I doubt I'll be buying anything else soon, but I will have to read up on the Scala, for fives bills it should make mine look like a walkie-talkie, lol.

This main thing is intercom of course, what's cool is that can be linked with up to nine riders for group rides. It has the FM radio built in. Bluetooth connects to GPS, iPhone, iPods etc. Can take phone calls and listen to GPS directions when the phone is linked through the GPS. Download updates via a PC, and create communities on line with other SCALA riders. I don't use most of that but its all there. You need a PC to do that, they are working on an Apple version. Here's the link.

The only difference I notice so far is 9 riders instead of 4, I usually only use it for my wife, gps, and phone, so I'm good. Basically any of the units you buy from Scala or Sena are going to be good, just depends on your personal preference.

I just bought a set of the G9's. Arrived Fedex and used them the next day for a trip to the mountains. Worked very well but had a problem with the VOX and the vance & hines pipes on my wifes bike. Going to try it again with the larger foam cover on the mike.

I bought them mainly for bike to bike commo. But the radio and bluetooth to ipod is great for my wife. We paired our phones but haven't used them for a call yet. It rang a few times on the trip but I ignored it .

I had to change to the the larger foam microphone pads too. That took care of it for us. I linked my Iphone today. The music sounded pretty good through the helmet speakers.

Wife and I bought some pack rods today for entertainment at the state parks. We haven't fished in ages. We will catch and release. We like the day trips!

I vote for the new uclear 200. Military technology on the boom less jawbone mic pickup. best wind noise suppression I've heard. Hasn't hit the dealers yet but I was at a demo where it canceled the noise of a 5 hp shop vac placed right in front of it. All the blue tooth stuff worked great.
