Started this thread last May and have FINALLY MADE A PURCHASE. I bought the UCLEAR 200. Will be posting a complete review soon but let me just say right now THIS IS A FANTASTIC PRODUCT!!! The INTERCOM function alone has me totally knocked out! It appears to be everything they advertize the product to be! My only question at this point is the reliability of the electronics.....only time and a one year warranty will tell. Bluetooth to my cellphone and streaming music but the Intercom is my primary use and interest. I can now communicate with my GF and the audio is JUST UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Clear as a bell no hiss pop crackle no interference....none. Good up to about 40 yards apart...two way conversation with no over ride...just super! AND NO BOOM MICROPHONE!
FYI - For those wearing a half helmet Sena has another version of the SPH10 coming out. The original SPH10 works with half helmets or no helmet and hooks on to the ear. It might work well for you and might not depending on your head size and shape. The weight hangs on your ears and if your ears or head is not the ideal proportions the speaker won't be aligned with the ear canal.
With the SPH10H, half helmet version, it will attach to any half helmet and includes the speaker pouches etc.
It should be available in April.
Do you know if this will also work with a full face? I ride with a half helmet the majority of the time, but use a full face on long trips and would like to have the ability to use it with both.
just bought the scala pro set. We like it a lot. Great intercom and has bluetooth capability for phone or gps. Easy install, battery lasts 6/8 hours. No complaints at all. Thought about the sena, but it was really a coin flip. Bought off amazon for considerably less than manufacturer. You might consider the totally wireless set, of course i can't think of the name and its fairly new, no boom mike.

I just subscribed to this thread, & I'd appreciate it if you would post your results here. I'd also like to know what kind of helmet you're using. UCLEAR's website shows fullface, but they claim good results with 3/4. I have one of the early Scala's that I'd like to replace. Tried two newer ones but got bad units so we returned 'em. The boomless mic. sounds like a great idea if it works.
I have tested both units and feel like they are both great units! The one feature I do like about the cardo scala rider G9 powerset is the new parade mode where you can toggle between 9 different riders. Plus the range on it is fantastic. I would recommend either unit! For more information please contact me directly at:
If you are using it strictly for music and not looking for the ability to talk in a larger group, the sena will be great! If you want to leave your self open to speak to more people and everything I would def. recommend the cardo.
