Hey everyone. Just wondering about an issue I've been having with my 2007 Street Glide with just over 10k on the twin cam 96 stock motor. It seems to excessive vibration at an idle and I'm thinking it may be pinion runout. Would this also affect the timing as well as vibrate? Thanks
first thing is to check the rubber mounts the drivetrain is suspended on, also look for any part of the drivetrain hitting the chassis, such as exhaust system ( and mounts)
idle speed is ?
any tuning device or modifications to the motor ?
if you are coming from another product line, the rubbermount drivetrains do bounce around at idle
Thanks for all the feedback. Idle speed is right at 1000 RPM and all the other items mentioned have been checked. I was asking about too much runout clearance causing issues with he timing because of the vibration and the overall performance of the bike. Something is really off and nobody seems to know what or why it sounds do bad. No codes.

I have an 08 and from what I've read, that's pretty normal with stock mounts. I replaced the front motor mount with a Glide Pro and the difference was HUGE. Not perfect, but HUGE. I'll probably finish off with the rest of the Glide Pro system this season. Check out the before & after video on the site. The company is GREAT to deal with.
