Here are some shots of my custom otterbox defender / Ram mount for my iphone 4. Combined with the griffin itrip dual, I could not be more happy.
So far, it's worked flawlessly on multiple hundred mile trips. If I want rain protection it's ziplock all day with a couple rubber bands.
Son sent me one of these covers with handlebar mount that will encase either my Garmin or my EVO smartphone. Has cord hole on bottom for tunes, 12vt hookup etc. Clear face that you can use phone or gps "touch" features..Haven't tried it yet, but sounds like a good idea
Like the othe poster said-turn off shake features..

I bought a console from Cyclone Custom Corp for my iphone. It fit my old 3G iphone and it now houses my iphone 4s. The nicest thing about this mount is it locks the phone into a weather resistant enclosure so it's out of the elements. All of those handlebar mounts worried me when I thought of mounting my expensive phone out in the wind and the elements.
I've never seen another Harley phone mount like this.

Waterproof/shockproof case for the iPhone, got the bike mount for it. It has held up so far over 1k miles; don't see any issues with it other than I can't charge the phone while it's on the bike.

Just looked at this and it is definitely a possibility. Does it clip onto our 1 1/4" bars?
The mount comes with two different thickness rubber inserts, think it's the thinner of the two that fits.
Used to have an Otterbox Defender on the phone, but since I usually carried the phone in a pocket, it was kind of a pain to get it out without pulling everything else in the pocket out due to the grippy silicone.
The lifeproof case is a plastic/hard rubber type, that goes in and out of a pocket easily and is slimmer than the Otterbox. Might not have all the shock absorption of the Otterbox, but it is waterPROOF down to about 6', which I feel much more comfortable with on the bike in the rain.
