Fuel light always stay on, why?

Default Fuel light always stay on, why?
I swap my gauges for spun aluminum ones. I knew i have no fuel so when i went to gas station the light was on like it was before.
I full my tank but the light always stay on. I ride this afternoon, all gauges, speedometer, tachometer works well but this light always stay on.
Is that happen to someone and how he solve the problem? Thanks in advance

just to share my new inner fairing, i'm very proud of my new gauges...

very strange were the plugs on the old and the new guages exactly the same?

yes, just connect plugs. I ordered my gauges for my year's bike.

Have you looked to see if the bike is throwing any codes?

If you have gauges from a bike with a six gallon tank and you have a 5 gallon tank. The internals of these tanks are different and will cause the light to stay on.

when my light comes on amd I fill the tank up it will still stay on sometimes then when I shut the bike off and restart it in is still on for then goes off, its been doing that from the first day it came off the showroom floor in 05

no and i don't know why. Maybe i'll have to go do a dealer.

i checked that point twice before order and after i received it. I ordered the right speedometer, the one which have not the 6 gear light.
