Question DA Booms..

Im interested in the Booms. I plan on adding them front and back without the Bass ports. I have read that with out the amp it dosn't make much difference. I want to know is can I add the amp at a later time? And Can it be purchased seperatly or even add a aftermarket amp if I go that route. I need to see if I really need one first before I go the amp route. I just want enough clarity at 65-70 mph to enjoy the music. I am not a power crazy loud music person, I just want a clear sound at highway speed and I have read the Booms will fit the bill without busting the bank. I did toy with the bass port idea but have not totally decided yet on that only if I can hear one first.

I added the Booms to my RGC while on leave. They were a noticeable difference over stock. I have the boom amp and a set of fairing lower speakers waiting to go in as well. I thought they sounded pretty good.

I replaced my stock speakers with the Boom speakers and they make a significant improvement in sound quality. I didn't really notice the difference in the garage, but out on the road they are much crisper, more articulate, and much more enjoyable. The stock speakers, when on the road, sounded boomy and muddled. The Boom speakers really liven up the sound quality and work very well.

I'm pretty sure that the amp can be added later, but in my case I don't think it will be necessary.

+1 for Pastor John. I love my BOOMS but buy the amp, you won't regret it. I mounted the fairing speakers with the tweeters to the inside just because I felt that the handlebars, switch housings and mirrors partially blocked the most direct path to my ears. I don't know that it really makes any difference except in my own mind but it certainly can't hurt.
