Just ordered my Pitbull Jack and service manual so I can start saving money doing mods myself.
Already upgraded my stereo. Going to be doing cams and maybe Fuel MOTO's 107" kit...
Phase 7 headlight, cycle vision eliminator, Ohlins 3-3's...
Haven't decided between monotubes for the front or Ricor Intimidators and Racetech springs...
lol. No I haven't exactly gone broke, but I've sure been anxious to spend money at times. The classifieds are a great place to save a couple of bucks, as long as you're buying stuff you actually would have bought in the first place. My problem is that I see something that looks like a bargain, so I buy it, even if it wasn't something I was looking for.
I know for a fact I wouldn't have spent money on lots of the extras if I didn't hear about them here. But in hind sight I really like the stuff I have, and have done,so no regrets. By far the best money spent has been on the blacked out forks, and the FM 107, and the painted inner fairing, and the hogtune speakers, and the ..... $$$$$$$
For sure. This Forum has helped me save money so I can spend more so I can spend more.............................................. ......................
Does this qualify as an oxymoron. True I am well on my way to becoming broke. The positive side is that since coming to this sight I have been able to find distributors I might not have found so that alows me to get more before I go broke. Great trade off if you ask me.
i would say this site saved me money! I bought a Phase 7 headlamp recently after actually contemplating the harley, $500 headlamp! So that was a savings. But I try to stick to a few things every year. this year is a new windshield, a dakota digital dash and the phase 7. The engine completion was last year. not sure what next year will bring but it will probably just be cosmetic.
It's a blessing in disguise for sure. I hear of new/better things that I want. But I also hear and save by either not buying something based on reviews/feedback, or using the classifieds. It's a beautiful thing really. And, I've found a couple of forum members that I seem to track very closely with in terms of upgrades. I am either buying (or on the list) what they've purchased and installed, or they're doing the same with stuff I've bought and installed. If not the same, the same general idea/upgrades.
