It usually does take a good tuner to get the decell popping out of a build. The PCV runs open loop 100% so it should be tuned to get the best results out of it. You can make some corrections yourself but I'd get it to a dyno tuner first chance. An exhaust leak at the head usually has a ticking noise with it. At the pipes, you can usually see a build up of carbon if you run your finger over the joints.
Don't know if this image will be large enough to read, but the decel popping is a fairly easy fix if you have a PCV and have already ruled out any exhaust leaks. I found that the solution in almost every case is to add a bit of fuel in both tables of the zero percent column from 2000 rpm up to redline. You can even leave the usb cable hanging free so you can take some test rides as you make the adjustments
Note: Once you hook up the laptop, make sure to save your current map so you can always get back to where you started.

I'm glad I stumbled upon this thread. I've been having some decel popping and was fooling around with my PCV today. I am going to try what's mentioned here tomorrow and see what happens.
Did you try adding fuel in you 0-throttle table with your PCV
I got my mapped PCV from FM and I have the megaphones to. I had the same problem, I called FM and Keith told me how to change the table from 0 to 15 and that did help. He said if I need more do it in sets of 5's. I'm up to 20 now but I need a bit more. Keith said if I get to 30 let him know and he will send me a new map. I really don't want a new map because my King runs great and my fuel mileage is decent.
Jammie sent me a e-mail and said the megaphones are one of the mufflers that is a little harder to get the pop out, but it can be done.
