I had the red SE wires on my 2010 SG. It's all about the color of the wire. Nice cheap upgrade for looks I didn't notice any difference good or bad in performance. A lot of people did ask about them though. For $20 I'd say the SE wires are a nice upgrade

I bought a set of Firewires, which are very similar, also with the same 40 ohms resistance per foot. I LOVE THEM! I run those with Iridium plugs and I think it starts easier and runs better. Mine were from JP cycle and cost about 52 bucks made to fit specific bike. Install easy, looks and runs great. ONLY A SUGGESTION - Since the resistance is so low, I set my plug gap at 42 and it runs like a clock ( per HD plug gap is 38-43). Good 50 buck upgrade.

I read all the comments about how sensitive the bike is to what kind of wires are used. I'm skeptical.
I put on a set of Scott Performance Wires I bought from JPCycles, and they run fine. I can't tell any difference. I wanted some big fat (10mm) colored wires to match the color of my bike.
You have to be careful taking the stock wires out, but I just popped the tie downs right out. No big deal. When you route the new wires, be careful that they say clear of the cyllinders. I used a zip tie to hold the front, (the long wire) to the frame, but the back wire I just let sit.
Took the bike out for a long ride yesterday, (120miles, back roads and turnpike). It ran fine. Like I said, no difference. I made my choice of wires strictly on color. It was cheap mod that looks great.

If you're in need of swapping wires then go for it...not for performance, but because yours are worn out. Plug wires either work, or they don't...much better mods for engine performance gains that actually show on dynograph.
