And you ride what kind of bike??
Bob
Was not trying to make you inferior, I was trying to find out what you ride in order to give you advice. So maybe if you go back and read your first post from top to bottom, and sense there is nothing in your signature, no one would have any idea what you ride. So don't shot someone for trying to help you.
I apologize---I have an 07 SG wanted to mount the mp3 on the tank panel--- the handle bar makes more sense---I've been edgy spent 8 days withthe inlaws in Northwest MA with nothing to do--got back home yesterday-went to get my bike out of the shop it was not ready it was there for 8 days, I made the mistake of telling them to take their time because "I'm going on vacation"(I will now resume to seeing the good in everything).
I'll complete my profile
(am I allowed to hijack my own tread)

Congrates on the New SG. As for the IPOD, I would not mount it to the bike. The IPOD does not like the vibrations of the bike, or the bumps in the road. I have gone thru 2 IPODs that both locked up after a few hours on the bike. Use your ITUNES software for the IPOD and burn your music to CD in MP3 format, and use your CD player to listen to the music. I have a CD with 116 songs on it, that I use on my SG. I can control all of the tracks from the radio controls, safer that way.
I agree with Bob, this is exactly what I do. I have a Road Glide and had mounted an MP3 player in one of the top compartments, but after burning a few MP3 CD with a 100 songs or so on it, I found it MUCH easier.
Good luck and hope you get your ride back soon. That would drive me crazy!
