This is what it sounds like to me as well. That's where I'd start. Unplug this connector dry out well and dialectric grease.

Never EVER pressure wash a bike.

Another reason why I don't like the TBW (along with the "lag")

If mine gets real bad I pressure wash it at the car wash ,have for years Ya just gotta watch where your wand goes.It maybe gets bad enough for that 3to4 times a year.never had problems.
