I purchased the jes product as well, like everyone states they do eliminate the buffeting problem. I got thumbs up on the appearance from some folks, as long as I'm happy with them that's what counts.
+1 on the lack of buffeting. I have noticed that combined with the fork baffle there is much less. However, there does seem to be a rise in engine heat.
Ok,
try this...
I have yet to find a set of fork wind deflectors that work for the sg 2011 flhx stock blinkers with lowers ( lower fairing ).
would love to find that set up.
Take that and work with it.
Some one would make good money on that one.
Just saying.
I use the JesCustoms black wind deflectors....Work as advertised
and not as big as the HD ones....As far as extra heat goes can't tell
but I have taken the vents out of the lowers...They kept getting in the way and seems to also let more air to the engine.
The black blends in great especially on a black bike
I also have lowers on my SG and have been wondering if there would be any advantage to adding the fork deflectors. how much difference did it actually make as opposed to just the lowers? Also do they hit the lowers on fork lock?
Ghostman574, I notice you have a 8.5 inch Klockwerks windshield. How tall are you and what is your opinion on it's function. I tried a 6.5 when they first came out a few years back and hated it. The wind was right in my eyes. I'm 5' 11".

Actually it is a 6.5...I'm 5'8" and the wind flow is about an inch or two above the helmet. The KW is waaaay better than stock with regards to shooting air over me.
I put the deflectors and the fork baffle on mine last summer and noticed the difference right away. The deflectors push the air out and away from you where the baffle reduces the air coming over the tank. Now, 80 on the interstate feels better than 65 did before this mod. Riding in cold weather is where you really notice the difference, you can feel the air better and tell where it's coming from. It's a great low cost mod to help with the buffet IMHO.
