I have a new battery to install in my 2007 electra glide standard. Can someone point me to the proper order to disarm the bike and remove the battery? The owner's manual doesn't have that info (at least not that I could see).
The ignition needs to be on to disarm, but disconnecting the battery with everything powered up seems wrong.
Ignition OFF disconect neg first. When putting in new battery connect pos first. Unless you have an HD audible alarm that has an internal battery you won't know the difference FOB in hand or not. The signal lights can't flash if battery is disconected.
I called the local Harley dealer and after some consultation they said just leave the ignition off and pull the battery. That's what I did and it works fine.
