I am looking on putting a 19-21" front wheel on my bike and thinking I need to clean up the wheel area with a less (side) covering fender to expose the wheel a bit more. Will another Harley style of factory fender fit on these forks? Would be nice to stick with factory and if not who makes a bullet proof fender. My bike is a 2010 with ABS if that matters......
Any pics of a newer Street glide with a slim sided front fender?
Probably not gonna fine a slim FX type fender from the MoCo that will fit a FL front end as the fender mounting bosses are a few inches lower on the FL. But there are a ton of them in the after market. I bought a CVO SG front fender because it is just a tad smaller then the stocker and I think the look is better on a larger rim. Although I'm only running a 19" up front.
Nice looking and about what I am looking for...Chrome Agitators and your fender in the picture looks great too (hope that is the fender in your Sig?)....May I will look into the CVO fender.... Will a 19" Agitator fit into a stock fender?
when looking at fenders, match the arc of the fender to the arc of the rotor, wheel and tire.
few things look worse, to my eye, than a mis-matched fender- "squashed" down onto a tire, rather than following the proper arc.
( you'll see this alot when riders put on 19" and drill the stock fender mount holes to alter the mount location- the arc of the fender just doesn't follow)
also tire clearance should be at least 3/8"
metal fenders should have any mounting rivets ground off and the braces welded in place to get a smooth, complete look.
mock it up before paint
I prefer a fat front tire and the HD street stalker fender kit looks good with this, as does the fatboy fender with mounting blocks.
OK, looked at Klockwerks and found 17/18" then jumps to 21", so if I want a 19" CVO I will have to buy a CVO Fender? There are plenty of 21" Fenders that look really good....
We have a really nice wrapped fender for baggers. We call it the long OCF and it comes in 19", 21" and 23". It is made of steel and will give your front end a new sleek look and show off your wheels. As far as a stock style fender I'd say get the Klcok Werks benchmark.

Yes, I had the stock fender on with the Agitator, no problem at all. (And yes, that is the CVO fender in the pic) I got really lucky finding it. A CVO was delivered to my dealer from the factory with a blem on the front fender paint. So the dealer ordered him a warranty replacement and this was the blem sitting on the shelf. I think I paid $100 for it plus paint.
