went to Home Depot and bought a split metal tube, which makes it a bit easier to widen it to slip over the antenna stud, cut it down to length and then topped it off with an acorn nut. Spray painted the pieces black. Just checked mine, and I'm pretty sure that the acorn cap is a 6mm. You could also bring the antenna with you to Home Depot and check the sizing at the store, they have sample bolts that you can fit the antenna onto to go the correct size.
