It has the 'shorty' console, with the CB hookup, etc.
Today,....I found that the plastic 'base' of my seat is cracked where the metal tongue is attached in the front, ( that goes in the frame ).
My question is: Can I replace my seat with a 'shorter' length seat, that doesn't run so far up the tank ? Is the Street Glide seat shorter, with a longer dash panel on the fuel tank ??
I wanna get rid of the HIDEOUS Ultra tank console anyways.
So,...........if I find a Street Glide seat and console,................will it bolt right up ??
I'm sure the seat would be easier to find used,...........but there are many companies that make a nice chrome console.
Jay, a console from an '06 or '07 SG will be a direct replacement; HD also sells an identical piece with a different stick-on insert than the SG uses--it's what I put on my bike.
Likewise, any '06 or '07 seat will fit as a direct replacement.
Carl
PS: I was going to mention that you could relocate the rider headset connector in your OEM console, but recall that you swapped out the HK head unit/CB, so the connector is a non-issue for you.
Can't help ya with the console but as far as the seat, anything 97 to 07 will work. Check the classifieds here and ya might find just what you are looking for.
i swap mine for HD cvo's like console. I use it with SG seat or my Ultra seat. It make the tank's look more clean.
Doesn't the Ultra seat go way farther up the tank than the StreetGlide seat ??? That's what I want ..............a way shorter run up the fuel tank/longer console.

yes the Ultra seat goes farther up on the console. The console is more longer than oem one and goes to the end of the tank, under the seat nose. It looks good with both seats
