I had close to the same problem with my SG had to run octane booster alot then bought a couple of bottles of Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus to clean combustion chamber/injecters and it ran much better. But still had a slight ping in reading links in this forum I thought that what I need to do was to clean my IAC sensor bought some CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Spray Cleaner and cleaned it up real good along with the Induction Module and butterfly I haven't had the problem in 6 mos. and haven't run anymore Octane Booster either She Runs Just Like New!

SuperClub12:
What kind of gas are you running? Specifically what's the percentage of Ethanol? I don't know if Ethanol can cause pinging but in my owners manual they warn against Ethanol gas. But travelling through the States it's very common. That's the next thing I'd look at if I was you.

Some very strong fuel, injector, cumpustion chamber cleaner product might help over time but that is just it (over time)...If Twin Cam 96 has a good solution (other than what's in the post) that can be done by any regular guy it should be shared with us please....I haven't that problem yet but i feel it may come a time that it will happen....I am not sure if you have ever opened up a cumbustion chamber but that crap is hard to remove...

It is my understanding that it is ok to run ethanol as long as you don't let it sit in the tank too long. It will start eating the rubber hoses.

Can the dealer change just timing curve on the bike with a stage one download..... or would you have to get a power commander
