Good luck with that Power Vision and your warranty, you may want to remove that before you take it in for service.
I change the CAM, Jackpot exhaust, A/c, and install the hitch to pull a trailer by myself; and my warranty is still good with my dealer (Treasure coast Harley).
I am not sure about your dealer, but my dealer's shop guy even agrees and suggests me to use auto tuner and PV, if I like too, after they did the Dyno tune on my bike.
All dealers are not the same!

Stock's and Doc's, up here in our neighborhood take very good care of us! It pays to pick your dealer wisely.
I have had my 12 for over a week now. Nuthin so far at 110 miles (I work in a cage). Only 99,000 left to go before trade in. Wish me luck.
I read earlier that every year we go through the "glad I bought the XX year. They were better". Remember Choo-Choo? He thought the 06 was the last good year.

Yep. I just bought a 2012 SG, my 4th Harley, having bought my 1st couple in the 70s when we didn't "depend" on the internet for information. I think it was better back then....it's way too easy to post negative crap about anything nowadays, and people take it to the bank. You gotta' watch what you sign on to with people just saying whatever they want, with no consequences.
Thanks for the restaurant recommendation, I do get to KC sometimes for work. You guys have the best BBQ, something I don't get to appreciate up here in the north. No, I was just sayin', there is a lot of negativity on the forums, but I think a lot of it is because of the restaurant example I gave. People are inherently quick to bitch, not to praise. It is just the nature of our being. No difference than the news, it's mostly gloom and doom, if we only got our information from the news, we would all believe the world is coming to an end. Ok, yeah, I know it is too, but you know what I mean, haha!
BBQ up here in the north Land,
Dude, you really gotta go east of Hayward out past the res and hit Famous Dave's (the original none the less) out on the lake.
Smokin BBQ, Blues playin in the back ground, and seeing Black Bear in their habitat from 30' away on a bike is a trip......
I don't know if this has anything to do with the voltage regulator issue or not. I have a 2003 Classic and a 2003 Ultra. I have lost 2 stators on the Ultra and replaced the regulator each time as a precaution. I recently lost the stator on the Classic and I decided to replace the system with a Cycle Electric system which consisted of a new stator, rotor and regulator. The instructions warned about placing the regulator behind an oil cooler because the regulator may not be able to handle the extra heat coming from the oil cooler since it already has to disipate the heat it generates on its own. Both of these bikes had a Harley Davidson oil cooler mounted in front of the voltage regulator. I purshased a Jeg's oil cooler for the Classic and mounted it to the left frame downtube.
I believe that most if not all 2012 models come standard with oil coolers. The coolers are mounted in front of the regulator. The Cycle Electric unit is a three wire system just like the later HD charging system. Could the heat from the oil cooler be the problem?
I have a 2000 Ultra with 77,000+ miles.
One stator (about 40,000 miles).
Still have original voltage regulator and the oil cooler was put on 4 or 5 years ago with no problems since.
Just got home yesterday from a 1000 mile ride on my 2012. My dad was on his 2011. We were in some hot weather, traffic jams, stop and go traffic and some rain. Both bike performed great. We were both very happy with how our bikes ran and look forward to another longer trip.
No problem with my 12. If you are glad you got an 11 then I'm glad too. If you are really thinking there is that much difference between a few months and a few parts I'm wondering if you are really riding the right brand of motorcycle. I've ridden and owned about every brand out there. And mechanical devices break regardless of where they are made. If it breaks replace it and enjoy it.
