What does "USA Catalyst" stamped on one of the exhaust pipes mean? I purchased a set of headers and exhaust pipes for my 03 RK and was informed that they do not have a catalytic converter. But I noticed the USA Catalyst stamp.
I had a set of '06 catalyst mufflers. If you looked into the inlet end of the muffler with a flashlight you could see the gray honeycome catalytist material.
I can see the catalyst honeycomb material, but is that the same as a catalytic converter? The seller assured me that the pipes do not have the catalytic converter, did I get screwed?

I see the catalyst/honeycomb material which appears more like a metal baffle in the pipe, but is that the same as a catalytic converter? The seller assured me that the pipes do not have a catalytic converter. Did I get screwed?
Opps, sorry, didn't realize the first post (post #4) went through.
Looking into the pipes where the head pipes connect, the exhaust pipe stamped USA Catalyst has the gray honeycomb material, but the other pipe doesn't. What does that mean?
