Default PBR 300x2 installation question

Got everything hooked up per instructions and my research here on the forum. I ran the 10 ga. fused hot wire, the ground back to the battery (hope that is OK, directions say within 30" of unit). My question is the slot on the amp next to the ground is labeled REM. Directions say "connect to source units accessory lead or switched 12 volt source." where might this be or is it not necessary for this application? Thanks for any help you can give

Are you running high level outputs? If so its not needed. And it sounds alot better that way!

That is a power connection that u connect a power source that turns on and off with the ignition or the radio. Keeps that little blue light from draining your battery down. I think there is an unused Orange/white wire inside the fairing you can wire up to that port.

The high level speaker inputs turn on the amp, you do not use the REM on the plug with the power and ground.

Run the factory speaker leads to the input plug(the other half of the RCA's you cut off) of amp, and hook the leads of the the polks to the speaker plug of the amp. Does this help? The amp senses the input from the factory speaker wires to turn the amp on. No remote lead is needed, only use this if you are hooking amp via the RCA plugs.

I run my REM. But I am running two pbr amps. One is running the 6.5 in the fairing which is spliced to the high level outs and turns on amp #1, and the other is running 2 6x9 lids and 2 6" subs in each bag. The rem is being used to turn on the second amp.
