I'm going to order a Pitbull lift on Monday (last day of the $50 off sale), so since I'll have that, I plan on doing more of my own maintenance on my 2009 SERG. I'm not much of a wrench- I change my own oil, and have installed various bolt on items like a derby cover, A/C, gas cap cover, slip ons, premium tour pak hinges- just to give you an idea of what I am comfortable with.
Now I'd like to keep an eye on my belt tension, and make the necessary adjustments when needed. I have a Service manual, the HD belt tension tool, and I guess I still need the HD axle torque nut adjuster.
After skimming over the belt adjustment instructions in the manual, it sounds a bit complicated. I should read it a bit better and maybe it'll make more sense, but my question is- is it that difficult to adjust the belt, or is it something most people can do without any trouble?

Thanks in advance
not sure if the sale will end on the jack. I talked to them in March and was told that they were going to offer free shipping in April instead of 50.00 off. Guess they changed their mind. sucks I would buy one if they offered free shipping.Having a real hard time paying 550 for a jack. you getting the dyna or the standard jack?
Getting the standard I guess. I realize the Dyna one works for Dyna's of course, and for Touring, so I'm not sure if one's better than the other for a Touring bike. I better ask them before I place the order.
Well, hopefully for me they don't offer free shipping in May- that's a $90 value right there.
Funny, I was all set on the J&S, but then read the thread on here about the bottles leaking, so I went of Pitbull's site and saw they had the $50 off. Plus, I was going to pay $460 shipped for the J&S, which includes the oil drain pan, and the Pitbull will be $530 shipped (they don't offer any oil drain pans), so really I'm spending $70 more, and I'm sure it will be my first and last bike lift purchase.
