I am 44 yrs old and my second bike is a turbo hayabusa. Water injection, built motor and pump gas I am tuned for 311 hp to the wheel. Stupid fast and hella fun! I think a stock 600cc sportbike can be too fast to be honest so I can't really answer your question since I am on a turbo bike when not on my road king.

Depends on where you are. A buddy hit a rock in a curve on a poker run last weekend and actually jumped off the bike before it careened into a ditch. For him and at that time 55 was too fast.

I'm exactly the same way, torque is where it's at !

Not trying to step on the thread but I had a chance to buy a Hayabusa for a very good price last year. Very interested in it as a 2nd bike - until I got a quote on insurance.

Point is, going fast is expensive, in more ways than one.

XParatrooper, just curious...you have on your signature 2nd/235....is that a typo, I was thinking it was 2/325. I remember the 508 & 504. I spent some time in 4/325.
All The Way!
