Leave mine on the right handlebar grip. Wife leaves her full helmet on the seat. So far no problems. I would like to see someone try and rip it off.

I always lock mine in the TourPak, most of the guys I ride with just hang them from highway pegs, handlebars or mirrors. Here in the UK you have to careful if you hang a helmet by the strap, when you get back it will probably have rained and filled the helmet with water.

I have found a lock at a local locksmith with a retractable cable that works well. I have two helmets a full face and a half helmet. The cable is lond enough to go through and lock the strap and also through the front fork space. It is small enough that it fits in my windshield bag. Cost was around $10.00. Has a clear plastic cover to keep from scratching the chrome. Differant lenghts. Made by Master Lock.

On the ground on the left side between the front wheel and the frame. Ground zero = no chance of falling

HD does make helmet locks, they are short money, under 20 bucks as I recall, and they can be mounted on your crash bars or saddle bag guards. Mine are on the front frame downtubes

I have 2 on my bike, I had a locksmith buddy key them alike since you can not order them like keyed from HD.

I also got some aircraft cable and crimp ends and made some cables so I can either lock my skid lid to the HD lock, or with my full faced Shoeis (500 bucks each) that don't fit well where I installed the locks, I just run the cable thru the helmet and then to the lock.

I hang mine from the mirror. If I am at a rally and away from the bike I use a small luggage lock to lock it on the mirror stem. I realize if someone wants it it will be gone anyhow. I have an ACC carbon fiber 1/2 helmet( www.carbonfiberhelmets.com)and afull face Harley helmet.

I left mine on the seat once, the wind blew it off and smashed visor hinge and visor. New helmet.

Now I just hang it off the right handle bar above the throttle cable housing. My wife hangs hers on the highway peg.

I have very oily skin and hair so I really don't think anybody would want to steal it. Oh, maybe some kids as a prank, but so far it has not gone missing.

I use this kryptonite combination lock. It's quick, easy and the cable adjusts to the length you need. It's much better than losing a helmet, jacket, or whatever else you put on the cable.

I usually put it over the rear brake pedal. Be sure to put it with the top facing up, not hanging from the strap. The first time it rains while you're gone you'll see why! :^)

As far as security goes, I've never, ever, had a problem with anybody taking a helmet and don't own any sort of lock. But again, it's down around ankle level so it's not easily seen.

I either just leave it on the seat or if the bike will be out of my site, then I put it in the bag. Its a half helmet and it fits sideways in either bag.
