There's always a catch it seems. My wife always gets mad at me when I buy accessories because I never read the fine print, that you have to buy X amount of things after the good deal. lol
A big +1 on the Mustang backrest for the stock Harley seat (MCC modified), fully adjustable and clean, quick and sturdy install. Super comfortable and less expensive that HD
I have the Harley standard rider backrest and love it.
One thing I have found out is that very minor adjustments with the allen screw on the back of the backrest pad makes very noticeable changes. I am talking 1/4 turn adjustments.
I think a lot of people get frustrated too early with the HD backrest. It took about six or seven very minor adjustments to get mine where I liked it.
Now that I have it adjusted correctly I love it. Makes long rides so much more comfy.
Mine came with the HD adjustable backrest, and although I can't compare it to anything else (because I've never had a different backrest), it's definately worth it's weight in gold!
I rarely adjust the backrest, but there are times when I want to change the riding position just a little. It's great!
