Backfire during hot start?

I got the new batter - 420CCA. Got it installed and it seems to be much better, went for a 3 day ride and the kick-backs never happenned again. will see if it will change with time as the battery gets older.

Don't let off. Unless it pops so hard it runs ahead of the sprag clutch. Usually, it the vaporized fuel left in the hot cylinder firing on it's own. Mine does it. When my battery is wearing out, it's worst since a good battery will power on thru it. If I let off start button, mine cranks longer trying to restart since it then has gotten too much fuel on that second crank. Mine can kick back or forward. Sometimes pops thru the intake. When they are hot and fuel in the intake and it cooks down, it can act strangely. Nature of the beast.

mine does it as im holding the start button, sometimes it would just stop like it doesnt have enough torque to push thru and sometimes it just would kick back.

I bought a YUASA battery for my 08 Ultra and it has never started better in the 10 years I have owned it. No more kick back on hot start. Best battery I have had by far.
