Since I have posted this I have also spoken to several LEOs and they all told me if I were asked to look at my helmet the I shouldnt be cited because all LEOs know the difference between an approved helmet and a non-approved helmet. Plus my helmet is a HD helmet and LEOs should know that all HD helmets are DOT approved.
