I call BS on this whole LSHD1 whining session.

I did a little digging and this is what I figured out - for what it's worth.

Fire-Medic, a 31 year old has owned three count them three, touring bikes in the last 2 to 3 years (2010 RKC, a 2011 Limited and now a 2012 CVO) Clearly he is never satisfied and is spoilt rotten. Damn – when I was 30, some 20 odd years ago it was all I could do to scrape together the cash for my 1992 Fatboy (loved that bike).

He, by his own admission, ordered a bunch of parts from LSHD1 the week prior to May 21st (so that'd be no earlier than May 14th). On June 1 he throws a hissy fit because his order wasn't shipped complete even though by the time he'd posted his first complaint on this forum about LSHD1 the rest of his order had already shown up with the exception of docking hardware caps (in other words LSHD1 had shipped practically everything before he even posted here - and heaven knows he could certainly get by without docking caps). Note that nowhere in his post does he bother to tell us when his first and second shipment arrived - but they did before he regaled us with his tale of woe.
Somewhere in all of this - several forum members seemed to buy in to the whole sob story to the extent that they may never consider buying from LSHD1 which is a crying shame because there's precious few places out there right now to get a price break and some of us really value the discount (perhaps if you ride a CVO it's not such a big deal).
You ask where Zanotti's went? Good businesses with a viable business model don't just go out of business. My guess is that they simply weren't that profitable. Chicago Harley?! I used to use them all the time but now - forget about it. I want LSHD1 to stay in business. I need LSHD1 to stay in business. We - many of us at least, need LSHD1 to stay in business.
Between this sob story and the flagrant falsehood recently perpetrated on us by the guy with the defective tach I just despair (https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touring-models/772714-hd-corporate-customer-service.html).
Fire Medic - you got great service from LSHD1. I expect they had to order part of your order from Harley and they shipped it to you as soon as they could. Are you surprised when they respond to your accusations against them the way they did? Frankly I think they were just being more honest with you than you are accustomed to.

Just because I’m sticking up for a business that I would prefer stay in business does not mean I have any affiliation with them. Furthermore I've seen how you react to other people on this board you disagree with - and heaven knows son, you've got a lot of growing up ahead of you.

Frankly – I’m sick of hearing people who just have so much taking down good honest businesses with their whining and complaining. Anyone else out there reading this thread. Please Do shop at LSHD1 - they’re good honest people.

As far as this thread - I'm done.

So now you're upset and apparently jealous because of my age and how many bikes I have owned? And because I know own a CVO I'm spoiled. You have some ****en ***** on you brother, and if saying that gets me booted off of here then so be it. Another internet tough guy, with nothing but jealous remarks because someone younger than you has done better in his young age than you did.

I work very hard for what I have, and you don't know me from the light post on the street to be making these assumptions. This post is way over the line, I have kept it civil up until now. I have served my country in the past and continue to serve in my local community as a civil servant, it's folks like you that sometimes make us wonder if it's worth it.

You want to talk about growing up, how much time did you spend going through my posts/threads to come back and insult me because of how many bikes I have owned, and because I own CVO now?? Do you still own the first motorcycle that you bought and only that one?

You can go pound some serious sand!

Bill Sparks has shipped many orders to my friends and I. All with excellent service. I call BS on this thread.

This thread was reported my a member. I have read it from start to finish. Sounds like someone is unhappy with the service they received. The discussion that followed voices opinions of experiences with a business.

No Dog in this fight and I'm not taking sides, but I've spent thousands of dollars at LSHD and no problems yet.

Yes, sometimes I have to wait a while and a couple of times something was on backorder.

I accept the added wait time for the 20% savings.

If a part is on backorder, it's because of Harley's supply chain, most likely on backorder no matter who you ordered it from.

I've run into the same issues with other 20% off dealers also (Surdyke).

I'll continue to do business with LSHD and Surdyke until such time as they give me a reason not to.

I live 20 minutes from them and I buy stuff from them all of the time. They have good prices and the parts guys are cool when you go there. I've never ordered anything from any dealer, but It seems that Harley is the culprit when it comes to waiting.....like for my Agitators. I live in between Chicago HD and Lakeshore and I'd go to Lakeshore or Chicago any day.....although Chicago HD is under new ownership and I LOOKs like they cleaned house.

Hey Davessworks you say: "You ask where Zanotti's went? Good businesses with a viable business model don't just go out of business."

From what I understand, the owner of Zannotti retired and sold or closed the dealership. Their Internet sales team is now part of New Castle H-D in PA and they offer the same deals that the old Zannotti did.

This post has become a little too personal if one member feels it necessary to dig up bike ownership stats on another!
