Running 2010 S.E.'s on S&S True-Performance headers on a 08 FLHTCU, quiet, very quiet, wife-like's-it, I want some low tones, seems to run good with Stage-1 & P.C. 5.
So far, all of the responses refer to running the 80732-09--the "Screamin' EagleŽ Street Performance Touring Mufflers." Is anybody running the 65115-10--the "Screamin' EagleŽ Thunder Street Performance Slip-On Mufflers," which are supposedly designed specifically to work with the header mounted cat?
i originally bought the thunder street but the end cap of the muffler itself was jacked up so the caps wouldnt go on. so long store short i went with the 3 1/2 instead and noticed the opening on the muffler is bigger on the street preformance then the thunder street. and the thunder street is all cap on the end unlike the street preformance. the dealer told me the 3 1/2 would actually be louder so i traded up for them. much easyer to assemble not as many nuts and bolts to deal with.
also pipes will sound differnt on a touring bike then say a sportster. so take them opinions lightly. the street preformance are $7 bucks more but over all i would go with them. i was told they are the ones made for the header mounted cat but i originally liked the big 4 inch look of the thunder street. but in the end i found out the street preformance had bigger opening
