Ok so there been a few post on 2007 high idle issues and no real solution. So here's a twist. I had a high idel last year end of season, replaced the IAC and issue went away.....well at least for 700 miles. Took my first trip this year and after coming out of a bar and firing her up a got a backfire and blam the idle shot up to 2000, could not bring down. I soaked the IAC motor shaft with carb clean and it go better.....headed home and during the gas ups maybe 1-2 times it stuck. Drove it to my shop yesterday, idle was stuck at 2000 rpm and on the highway the tack & speedo died, plus security light came on and battery light, but she was charging and ran fine
Scanned codes today Engine high temp sensor code(never got hot) and a few U codes because of the Zippers computer.
Note: Until the ride in last night the check engine light never came on at all during the 700 mile trip. Also after we extracted and cleared the codes I took a 10 mile trip and the high idle is gone?
Any idea would be appreciated

Well put on about 50 miles or so and no issues. I'm in the dark on this one. Just doesn't make any sense, The new motor has been it for at least 5K and no problems .....now this. I've seen that the post had a fair amount of hits, but no ideas?
For lack of any other comments, I'd try disconnecting the plugs on the throttle body, IAC and the ECM. Use some electrical connector cleaning spray, apply dielectric grease and re-connect. I have never heard of a "zipper" computer but if the condition returns more frequently, it may be time to contact the manufacturer and ask if any other customers have had this problem and if there is a known fix.
my understanding from reading this forum has been that it is a thing for the 2007 model to have to problem. low idle and high idle. I get both from time to time. I just put up with it till it quits, it is a pain in the butt though. I was up in Maryland a couple weeks ago for the race at buddscreek and had the low idle problem right in alot of traffic. thing cut off and when I tried to start it ..it made a terrible noise, popped back thrugh the breather and a bunch of smoke rolled out. Next try it fired up and I was gone, and so was the problem. ?????
I don't know how to fix it, sorry, I wish I did.
Kroozeabout.

Yep your pretty much right. Since we do have a strong understanding of fuel injection etc it's hard for me to swallow, not fixing any bike let alone my own.
Mine is only a high idle, but I did get5 a stall and prior to that stall I had the chk engine light on, battery light and one other. Idle was stuck too. When I restarted everything was fixed except the high idle. Went out tonight and still no issues. Who knows
I just got a 07 Ultra. I have had it a week now, and no problems. I love the bike.
Has there been many bikes with this problem. Could it be heat related. I like to make my bike my bike. The first modification I am adding is an ultracool oil radiator.
Well kind of an up date.....Put on about 400 miles more and nothing. I did just go out for a short 15 mile ride and the speedo & tach dropped, check engine light charging light etc all came on,,,bike ran fine. Shoot the key off restarted all ok
My niece is dating a guy with a 2007 Road Glide. We went for a ride on Sunday and his bikes idle was getting stuck at 2000 plus rpm. Now you can't tell me HD isn't having an issue with this model.
