Had same issue but replaced everything involve the shaft like levers and inner arm hold shifting rod and all is well since then.

DO IT! You wont be disappointed! And wont have to swap out the trans shaft again.

mine came off last year on our way back from Cal. lucky it fell off about a 1/2 mile from a dealer in Omaha Ne. and was about noon on a thursday happened as I was down shifting to get gas, rode it in 2nd gear to the dealer, it was covered under the extended waranty, they didn't get it that night but had me on the road by 11:00 friday and they refunded my hotel but it took about 4 weeks
