Why would someone put 2 way amp?
So I recently traded up to a used ultra classic. I find That the previous owner installed the hogtunes speakers, front and rear and the tweeter bar, but only a two way AMP. Weird to me. So my biggest question, without ordering online, is there a 4 way amp out there that I can just get like at best buy or something and will it work with the hogtunes speakers?
Not real familiar with Hogtunes ohm rating are they 2 or 4? If they are four you can try the Rockford Fosgate PBR300. Its 75x4. Everybody has a different opinoin but ive heard jus about every amp out yhere that will fit under the fairing because my buddy works n shop that does mostley bike n boat audio. That RF is impressive, small, and you can find'm for around $150 online. Im run'n one just using 2channels on a pr of RF 6.5's I bought it planning to do a 2nd set of 6.5's in lowers. No need it has the ability to crank louder than I ever listen to while riding. Very clear. I have gain set so low I am prally only pushing 30watts to ea speaker.

How is it wired up ?? I would guess that the head unit is driving the rears. Depending on the ohm rating of the amp, you can run MANY speakers from a 2 CHANNEL amp, as long as they are wired with-in the ohm specs.
Hogtunes has sold 2 ohm and 8 ohm impedance speakers. You'll want to know which are in your bike.
As for the previous owner's installation, HT offered exactly what's on the bike and was a popular option, in part because it was relatively inexpensive.
I don't know what Best Buy or other similar stores stock. A popular 4-channel amp is the Rockford Fosgate PBR300x4 because it's relatively inexpensive and fits easily inside the fairing. Few of the automotive 4-channel amps will fit inside the fairing of the EG.

Ok, so the rear speakers are 2 ohm. I had already closed the fairing back up when I found the replys. I guess the front speakers are 2 ohm also? I'm going to do some more research, I thought I had read where someone had installed one of the newer alpine 4 way amps.
