I recently purchased a signal bar to use in my plate relocation. I bought it from an HD dealer as a 0 miles late model touring new bike take off. It definitely looks new. I assumed it was from a Road King since it has the integral light hood. When I received it, I was surprised to see it was the same overall length as my Ultra's signal bar. I had always thought the Road King signal bars were a couple of inches shorter overall. Is this correct?
I stopped by my local dealer this morning and did a visual comparison between the RK and the Ultra signal bars. Maybe it's an optical illusion, but the RK signal bars do look shorter on the bike. I didn't see any touring bikes with the light hood AND longer length signal bar.
FYI - Bar is 19" long end to end with 6" between mounting holes.
Am I wrong about the RK vs Ultra length difference? Is this just a standard RK signal bar? Thanks for the help.

Now that I've found my tape measure and actually measured both, there is a ~1.75" difference. Earlier, I was just holding the new bar up to my mounted Ultra bar and they appeared to be the same length. I'm glad the new bar is a bit shorter.
Now I just need to figure out how to tie in the LED leads for continuous ignition-on voltage. Don't want the plate light to flash with my blinkers.
One more question. Where did you guys find your solid red (windowless) brake light lens?
Thanks again for everyone's input.

On the left hand side in your tail light housing there are 3 plug slots, left blinker plugs into left slot, right blinker into far right slot and tag lamp into the middle slot. Hope that helps.

That sounds much easier than I expected. Thanks for this very helpful info.
