Looking for feedback on this amp. Was thinking about the pbr300x4 but reading lots of feedback on heat and other issues lately. It's much cheaper but biketronics is a good company with a lifetime warranty. Looking for a 4 channel to run 2 in fairing and 2 in lowers on a SG with focal 165 cvx speakers. Thanks.
If you plan to stop at just four speakers up front, you may want to consider the setup Biketronics suggested to me(and I'm glad I listened to them). Go with the BT480 amp, and run the speakers(provided they are 4 ohm) in paralell. You'll have no f/r fade control, but I haven't found it to be a problem. I went with their Titan II speakers. System sounds great! Excellent folks to deal with.
Heat issue on PBR? Really? 2wks ago I rode 3hrs at 102degree heat with radio crank'd. Stop'd for hr to see a buddy in hospital rode back same way. Amp never clip'd or went into protection mode. Its under faring on the bracket that mounts on top of deck. Hope I dont have these "heat issues" soon.
Trnewman - I too am interested in this amp. I read the instructions for install which requires running new rear speaker wires. I can't understand why the plug and play doesn't work with the stock radio.
Sounds like the BT4180 is an easier install with an aftermarket radio.

This is just my opinion after reading every thread on the pbr amps (2 and 4 channel). It may just be a few unlucky customers that didn't set them up correctly. I may still go that route since it's quite a bit cheaper than the biketronics. Don't mean to ruffle any feathers.

I wanted to have the ability for fade control based on feedback of those that have installed lower fairing speakers. I would think you could crank the lowers up and lower the upper fairings to give you a good balance.
Check out the audio section, many threads on audio setups and very helpful members on there. Best of luck, I chose BT complete system after my OEM HU started failing. I had the pbr 300x2 with stock HU and it seemed ok.
