Worst upgrade for me was my street glide. I should never have traded my RKC for it. I kept the SG for less than a year. The SG may be the most popular tourer and it is a great bike for those who have it, but it just didn't work for me. Five years and five (non-Harley) bikes later, I've finally realized my mistake and this past Saturday I went in and put money down on the new anniversary Road King. It feels good to be back. This time I'll stay.

I'm curious, which dealer did you buy from?
When I bought my 2012 SG, I found ***'s in Rockhill to offer the best deal.
SEPRT when all that was really needed was a PCIII.
But the SE part was on sale and I thought it would be a great investment.
SE203 cams, 95'' flat top pistons and at the time SE Heads, not the HTTC ones either.
Anyways, it was/is a spend,live and learn.

Interestng! What didn't you like?
I've head of RK owners converting to Batwing/Fixed fairing but would it have been cost effective to remove the Batwing assembly and convert to a RK? And then sell the entire Batwing assembly?
Worst for me was the tour pak retractable lid tether.
I ride in the cold a lot and it takes for-friggin-ever to retract when cold. First time I closed the lid cold, the cable got wrapped around the yo-yo and I ended up tearing the paint up getting it open again.
My biggest waste of money was for the digital oil temp.and level dip stick. It would be a great assessory if they could get it to work longer than a few months .
