Yes, I misspelled PINGING and yes I have the PINGING from hell. Did a stage one on my 2012 FLHTK but instead of using a SERT I bought a Power Vision from Fuel Moto when I bought the Vand H power duals with monster ovals. Yes I did email Jamie and he did send another MAP but PINGING is still there. Emailed Jamie again on what to do next but after 2 emails , NOTHING. I have read multiple threads on the subject but not one person it seems has solved this problem. Love my 08 RK with a stage one, just wish the FLHTK was just as solid! PLEASE HEEEELP! FT

Reason: Misspelled word
My bike pinged to beat the band. It's really not that hard to fix. First you need to identify when and where the pinging occurs. Then you just have to be willing to take some timing out in the affected areas of your map. I've pulled up to 2 degrees (in the cruise range) and 4 degrees (at WOT) out of mine and the ping is gone in all but the most extreme conditions... And then, when necessary, a downshift to 5th eliminates it completely.
That Power Vision is a very powerful tuning tool, and much easier to use than the SERT. The maps you get from FM are just going to put you in the ball park, there is no way for them to send you a map for your specific motor and have it run perfect, only way to do that would be for them to dyno tune it. Many times, their maps are close enough for many people. Others want or need more fine tuning. That's where the power of the Power Vision comes into play. If you just want to run a canned map that they send you, you can do that with just a Power Commander for a couple hundred bucks cheaper.
What you really need to do is some log runs and start dialing it in. The Power Vision can record knock (ping) events and you can reduce timing in those cell areas to eliminate the ping.
My new 103 does not ping anymore than my 96 did, which was a lot before tuning it. They have these motors burning squeaky clean and hot. The Power Vision will allow you to tune Squeaky hot into something cooler and more powerful with less pinging.
It is a very long long read but there is a real good sticky thread on the PV in the tech section. Very informative and lots of good tips.

I have same setup as you and have same problem after a couple of attemps with fuel moto maps I then went to dynavision site and downloaded map # 11T103002410 It all but eliminated the pinging on mine
This fall I plan on contacting Fuelmoto and give them another try at formulating a map for me
I assume you tried some type of octane booster ? Is it the same tank of gas ? Did you change spark plugs ? Maybe try changing to a heavier motor oil or add some STP temporarily, cause maybe it's something else that sounds like pinging ? Not sure if you can but I think on the Vision you can change your timing, retard it a little at the rpm and throttle position your getting it around.
Not to sound like a total retard, but I'm going to anyway.
What is pinging and what does it sound like. I thought I knew, but apparently I don't. Every once in a while, I will hear a noise from my bike and the only way I can describe it is that it almost sounds like small bits of gravel hitting my exhaust headers.... Is that pinging?

Yes..... pinging~knocking~preignition..... all in the same
