Just bought the Wife Frogg toggs on Monday. Got wet on Wednesday and they leaked around the crutch. A riding buddy had used a set while we were riding ATV's in WV and they also leaked. Never had a problem with the Harley brand.

I went with the H-D Incinerator suit. I had a couple of gift cards from Father's day and only had to chip in a fraction of the price. Fits nicely over my leathers and looks good, IMO.

HD rain suit 100%. Save up, buy the good stuff. If you buy cheap you could really regret it. Cold, wet, suit leaking far from home in a rual area with no shelter, that would suck.

I have the H-D lightweight rain suit and gaiters. Works well keeping me dry and fits in one of my saddle bags.

Another vote for H-D Raingear, especially the Hi vis line. In my younger days (way back in the last century) I went for black. Being older and wiser I'd rather be seen than be cool, besides how cool can you be in a rainsuit.

Yes, Harley rain gear costs more, but it keeps you dry. I have the high-vis suit and you definitely stand out in it, which is what you need in rainy weather. I also like the guards for the exhaust and the rubber padding on the seat that keeps you from sliding.

Yep, Harley all the way.... I have had days that started and ended with thunderstorms, and had nothing but solid sheets of rain in between the thunderstorms- I was warm, dry, and nary a drop got inside the suit.

I wasted $100.00+ on unsatisfactory raingear before learning this lesson, though.

I did find out a few years ago that hail still hurts, even when in a Harley rainsuit..

Has anyone ever used the Milwaukee Motorcycle Rain Suits? I can get one for about $75 from Farm and Fleet. It has a nice leather looking material on the inside of the legs for the exhaust. I have no idea how they work or hold up. Anyone know anything about these. I wanna buy harley but I don't know if their rain gear is worth the extra money? Does harley use real leather on the inside of the legs for protection from melting on the pipes?

Thanks!

Well, I won’t be much help, but I went with the Harley Hi-Vis because I want to be seen when the clouds roll in and visibility is **** because of the rain …. Best laid plans and all that.
Every time I have been caught in the rain I am either drenched before I got a chance to put the gear on, or, the last time, just said f***it, I only have another 20 miles to go, it is 95+ so what does it matter (That was on I81 in Virginia a few weeks ago with the forecast of “isolated severe thunderstorms”)
The only thing I did was pull off for the first 20 minutes or so of the rain so the roads weren’t as slick.
I am glad to hear from many that I spent my money on the right gear, just wish I could actually utilize it!

I use the hi-viz Harley rain suit. Went to the VA HOG rally and got caught in one hell of a down pour. Luckly my brother needed gas so we pulled over and decided to put on the rain gear. It was so bad rain was bouncing off my cheeks and into my googles through the vents! But we both stayed dry.
