I read with interest your comments. I've noticed your thought provoking input on a number of occasions. I've already PM'd you, so I'll just sit back and wait my turn for your specific thoughts. I suspect my problems are directly related to the cleve blocks, and some after market bushing kit might go a long way to solve it. I just don't know which one is really worth getting, and I'd love to hear your input. I further suspect that a suspension upgrade would go a long ways to completely solving the problem. It's just hard to drop the kind of coin required to address this properly, i.e. Ohlins, etc.... when you can just slow down and solve it for nothing. I'll wait to hear from you.
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your knowledge with us. I found it to be very informative. If you get a chance please PM me with your thoughts on stabilizers. I ride an '08 FLHRC. Thanks again.
Don't know if my bike is not doing the wobble or if I just don't notice it I have 46000 on my 07 Ultra and ride fairly aggressively and have never noticed any thing other than like a rolling feel in hard curves that I have felt on lots of my bikes I have always thought was just the way the tires hit the road in a curve , what is this dangerous wobble ?
I say very little on this fourm but I must jump in here. I am a retired LEO and was a motor officer in the early 80's. My first motor was a1980 FLH which was after the buy out. This was probally the sorriest motorcycle ever built buy anyone. However that being said, early in training we were taught that a 900 pound bagger had limitations and had to be ridden likewise. I rode this bike for a year in every situtation one can imagine and never pushed it into a Death Wobble. These bikes can be pushed to a point they are not designed to be riddin. I have a 03 classic I have riddin for 50k and have never had a wobble issue. You can change many things to redesign these bikes to make them safer to ride faster, however the best fix IMHO to to start with the NUT holding the handle bars.
I have experienced it and I was in no way pushing the bike beyond it's limits. The curve I described in my post is a gentle sweeping corner that I take between 45-60 MPH depending on traffic. If that's pushing this bike beyond it's limits then there is most definitely a problem with these things.

On the way to work I have a sweeper that makes a transition from a "banked" corner to an off camber slope and that's where mine weirds out on me. My first time I thought this bitch needs a stabilizer and now I understand.
Bagger Brace only fits 96-08. The patent holder and the creator to bring a solution to the market is True-Track and they have units to fit 1980-present. We all have choices - find what works for you and ride safe.
