please add me as well. Your input gave me pause to think about the issue in the future. I do not and have not felt anything like a wobble but think that perhaps the bike will track better going down the road. I am very interested in your recommendations on the bracket system to use. Please PM me so I know what to look for in a system for my frame.
Enjoyed your write up, Mr. Brown. Please include me on your list.
Bought a used '11 Roadglide Ultra in January with 9600 miles on it. Never had an issue untill 16k miles, then it happened twice in two weeks! Both were right at the 40 mph mark. Have not had an issue at any other speed, but will take any necessary steps to avoid it in the future.
I recently traded in my 07 Street Glide (with 24000 miles) on my 12 Road Glide.... I had the wobble happen a good bit on it... and I didn't have to push it to extremes to get it... yeah, I would be riding agressively but I would get the wobble in a curve on my road that I can take easily at 65mph in my Toyota Highlander... try it at 65 on the SG and you would get the wobble every time. Stiffing up the suspension helped a little, getting rid of the stock tires and going with Dunlop E3 helped considerably with the uneasy feeling.. but it would still get the wobble....especially if we were two up. Yeah, I can see where if you are one of those people that gets 20,000 miles out of the back tire, you may not ever get the wobble.... anybody that ever "gets on it" a little... will probably eventually get the wobble...you just haven't found the right variables yet..OHHH and no I don't stiff arm when I ride, I'm 6'3" with decently long arms, they are bent and I ride relaxed, especially on roads that I have been traveling on for all my life.. So, is the brace the answer??? Not sure.. never put one on the SG..... only had the RG a week so... if it starts to get the wobble... I'll probably save up and get a brace this time around...they make sense. So far though, the handling on the 12 is ten times better than the 07. ehhh time will tell I guess.
