11" Santee Dresser Apes

These are really nice bars. Nice angles, very comfortable.

I was impressed with the quality from Santee apes (Ive got the 14" on my RK). They put pull wire in them which is handy. For the $ you cant beat the quality.

I bought them through my local indy and had him install them for me. The bars themselves are just a shade over 100 bucks. I've seen them in the J&P catalog.

Santee Dresser Apes

Like the 11" apes. Did you change the cables do to the increased height of the bars or did you have enough length with the original cables?

I honestly don't know if they were long enough or not. I wanted stainless braided cables on to dress it up some. The stock cables were never even discussed. TUCCI may be able to shed some light on it for you.

I have the Santee 11" apes on my 2005 FLHT. Not quite sure how they get 11"; when I measure them, I get closer to 12". I installed my own; extended the wiring; for cables needed +6" and extended the brake line by cutting the old metal line, using brake connectors and flaring the old line, then brought it up to the controls with a Russell brake line; all the plumbing is hidden in the fairing.

Very comfortable bars; great price; cna't remember where I bought them
