Wife is a photographer for the local HOG chapter, and we do a lot of rides both with the group as well as quite a few charities. During these trips, she rides on the back of my Ultra, and takes tons of photos. Some of these rides are very large, and we usually jump into the breakdown lane or passing lane to take photos of the groups.
I'd like to find some kind of white strobe lights put on the bike for extra visibility, both front and rear. Talking to the local police, they also advised doing this, as long as I stay away from red and blue colors.
Is there anything available for the turn signal lights, that would strobe if connected to my unused accessory switch? Or is there something else I should be looking at that is seperate from the turn signal lights all together? I'm envisioning using what many of the pickups use in construction zones around here...white, random strobe pattern, etc.
check ebay. you can find all kinds of lights, strobes, wig wag circuits etc.
sounds like an unsafe choice you are making. moving in and out of the relative traffic flow.
If I saw someone doing that, lights or no, I'd stay way away from them.

Mike,
Guess I didn't explain it well enough. We don't go in/out of the traffic flow of motorcycles at all. We ride in a dedicated lane, or wait for the group to pass before jumping in the back. I understand what you are saying...but I won't jump into the middle of a pack and make everybody slam their brakes...just not safe. I've got a WigWag Backoff on the rear brakes already, I'll see what else eBay has to offer. Thanks.
I have been looking at adding strobes for visibilty for a long time. I have found a few ideas, but have not done any ordering yet. Here are the 3 I have truly considered:
Check out sound off signal,Whelen, j.w speaker. Strobes need a power supply,go with led's . I'd also go with amber instead of white.Look for wide angle instead of directional. www.lshlights.com
For the time being just use your flashing lights. Just hold down both turn signal buttons at the same time. Surely there are some bright LEDs you can put in your signal lights.

I appreciate all the comments and suggestions. Like ZooZoo says above, I'd love to find something that made my current signal lights strobe. I have found tons of solutions for cars and trucks, but nothing for motorcycles. I could probably "create" something, but didn't want to get into a ton of wiring unless I have to.
Whelen, TIR-3, You will just need one in front and one in back. Now if you do not know this yet, a white strob will make people with Epilepsy go into a seizure and even some who do not. A large group just think how many this will effect. You would be better with amber since white is coded and reserved for fire departments. Amber is caution for everyone and shows up best in fog and rain.
