I mounted the helmet locks under the tour pack on the tour pack itself. Helmets are under the pack if it rains they don't get wet inside and no one ever notices that they are there.

It takes some work. Used Harley locks cut then so they are flat drilled through pack and metal plate inside.

As others have said I put mine in the Tour Pac when there is room. Otherwise I take them with me. I got ripped off once whenI left the helmet with the strap rapped around the sisy bar a few times. Some kids took it (I was told), cops couldn't care less, except telling me not to ride without one!

Another suggestion might be get a Kuryakyn Grip set and a set of grip end helmet locks. With the Grip end helmet locks, you can't even tell they are there. Look on eBay or the Kuryakyn site..
Interesting, hadn't seen that one before. Can't figure out how it works, though. Do you remove the end piece with the key, slip in your D-ring, then replace the end piece? If so, what do the pendulum-looking pieces do? (http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp...ey&ci=3509)

When searching for this item, I noticed some others on the Kury site, including a mirror- or lever-stud-mounted device. On the SG we have no mirrors in that location, so that would work well.

the kuryakyn uses a lock made by Kewl-Metal that changes out the end plug on the ISO grips. it has a cut out on the bottom which u slip in the anvil looking piece that slips thru your d ring on the helmet. Some D rings can fit right thru the lock also. the lock is just a little bar that slips thru d ring. Looks pretty cool on the bike.

Have it on my sporty on both sides.

I've often used a computer cable lock. It's a cable about 2' long and is covered with a plastic coating and uses a padlock to lock it. It has been great for locking up 2 helmets and a jacket if you want.

I have an electraglide standard, so I don't have the lower faring. My helmet lock is just above the footpeg mount on the engine guard. I set it so that the keyhole faces the rear of the bike that way no debris gets into it.

What'd really be "kewl" is if you could key it to your ignition key. I wonder if a locksmith could do that.

Do you know if the anvil-thing stays on the grip at all times? Looks weird, and I still can't envision how it works. This photo from an Ebay auction shows it on the bike, but I see no such piece.

You use these sliders or if your helmet d-ring fits, slide that in.
