I've manually activated it while stopped and could feel the difference it makes. Didn't make any change at all to the sound/feel of the bike. Maybe having Stage 1 helps?...

.."lets build a bike with an engine that will melt in traffic unless it is partially shut off"......ya..that's the ticket!....c'mon HD....throw in the towel, and build a water-cooled Touring model so we can have a choice!...I have an 05 88, and will NOT buy anything new from the factory until they get the heat problem solved...I thought the 05 was hot when I bought it, but the bigger motors are INSANE hot....

Have you ever been on a water-cooled motor in traffic? It's no magic bullet...

As well as the noise the OP mentions, it can make your exhaust gases smell a little strange, too, although I haven't noticed this every time.

Not sure there is a problem if the bike works as designed. My last Dodge would cut out 4 cylinders when cruising ( I think more for fuel efficiency). I am sure the WPW stuff works, I just hate calling the EITMS a problem.

its not the engine that can't take the heat, its the rider. the eitms is about rider comfort....

I think the rear cylinder cut off is a dealer option. They should have asked you if you wanted it enabled.
