Twin lights side-by-side would light up a wider, more off-center area than a single light would..

That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it..
Both frame mounted and fork mounted fairings headlight beams face forward center while driving in a straight line. In a curve however, the fork mounted fairing's headlight will be aimed slightly opposite of the direction of the curve due to the countersteer. Think about it....to turn right you push with right hand....to turn left you push with left hand.

I like it! I found this thread as a result of trying to mount a aux light bar to my Road Glide.

Personally, I think that no matter what you do, you ain't gonna make a fairing bike look good, so you might as well go with what WORKS best, like dual headlights.

Kinda like a fat, ugly chick. Losing weight ain't gonna make her look any better.

Function over form. You ride around Iowa at night you want all the light down range you can get. I've always liked the looks of the RG.

You’d be surprised how many people don’t have a clue what “Counter Steering” is.
Last summer a bunch of us went to the Hot Springs area to ride the twistees and that night we were discussing the day’s fun.

I made the comment that it really accentuates how well counter steering works and two of them just looked at me and asked “What’s counter steering?” and one of them has been riding Harley’s for over 40 years…..and the other one rides over 10,000 miles a year.

A lot of them counter steer without even knowing they are doing it or they couldn't ride with you all day.
